About the Artist

Nadine Takvorian
Member Since November 2016

Projects: I am an illustrator and create art for MG and YA children' s books and graphic novels. I am a storyteller at heart and love creating narrative works of fantasy, folklore, myth, and magic. I live in Berkeley, CA with my architect husband and young daughter. You can find us making mischief in the garden, tinkling the keys on our piano, and singing harmonies.

I grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from the California College of the Arts where I received my BFA in Illustration with Distinction. In addition to illustrating I have also been an art director in children&rsquo s book publishing, and an art assistant in the art department of Industrial Light & Magic.

I' m a member of SCBWI and was a runner up for the Martha Weston Grant in 2016. I am currently writing and illustrating a graphic novel for YA.
