Princess Briony of Shadomarch was realized in collaboration with the writer Tad Williams and published for the first time on a website promoting his new fantasy saga Shadowmarch. The artwork was a 2003 Chesley Award Nominee, together with another illustration in the same series winning in the same year the Chesley Award as Best Unpublished Monochrome Illustration.
