Projects: Vanessa Wenwieser is an artist, born in Munich, Germany, who has achieved a Fine Art photography degree at the Glasgow School of Art and graduated with a Bachelors Degree with Honours. She uses photography with Adobe Photoshop to create many layered artworks. Her artworks have been widely exhibited in 2022 and 2023, virtually with groups and in several physical exhibitions too, and solo shows, internationally. Her artwork has also been published in some books and magazines. She has always been interested and inspired by fantasy and horror, growing up with the Alpine fairytales of her homeland.

This image represents our dreams and desires, that we don�t always let others know about but we all have. It�s a lascivious image that hints at the dreams, which, at times, can be dark and the masks we wear, and our hidden subconscious that inhabits our desires. It�s about the dark side that everyone has but rarely shares. It is about a mask being worn; that of the subconscious mind, that is being suppressed and at night is freed. This character, longs for this state of mind where he/she can think whatever they like without consequences and however surreal the situations may be. However, there is a poison door, one which you cannot escape from and which will haunt you if you open it.
