Description

Marduk was an ancient Mesopotamian god and the patron diety of city of Babylon. He eventually rose to become the king of the gods and is associated with justice, compassion, healing, regeneration, magic and fairness. He was said to speak many languages and his head was surounded by many eyes. His adversary was the dragon Tiamat who was the personification of chaos and danger in nature, wereas Marduk represents the order and safty of civilization. The ancient Mesopotamians would use Marduk as the standard by which all the kings of Babalyon were judged.
