Description
In 2014, Greg Hildebrandt began a series of paintings titled, �Kid Stuff�, which features a collection of his favorite worn out childhood toys. Each painting depicts a different character and a different mood, all of which are painted at giant sizes. These gorgeous, photorealistic oversized heads have been catching viewer�s eyes�and imaginations� ever since. This puppet painting, called �Freckles�, contains the warmest color palette Greg has used thus far, but is perhaps one of the most unnerving in the series. The eyes stare off to a place we cannot see, and the viewer cannot help but wonder if those cracks in his cheeks are not actually an ominous smile�
